In a small bar in the village of Yumani near Isla Del Sol, Lana began writing in her journal. She took the last sip of her beer and made eye contact with the bartender. "Mais uma cerveja" she said. He brought her another one that sat there for awhile as she continued writing. "It's been six very long years since you disappeared from my life. I toss and turn every night in my bed wondering where you went, what happened to you, or if you're even still alive. I think about the beautiful wedding we were supposed to have and how we would be in agreement on every single detail of it except for the meal. We would argue over that so much to the point where we would both just laugh at each other hysterically. I often wonder if you think my dad hates you for how much money he lost. He doesn't. He misses you as much as I do. Anyways, I'm sitting in a bar having a drink near where we would have stayed. It's a lovely little place. There's a boat taking me to Isla Del Sol in a little while. I wish you could be here right now with me. I've come here by myself enough times now that some of the locals know me by name. They call you my Saudade; something I loved so much that I've lost that may never return to me. I know that's not true. I know we'll meet again someday." She closed the journal. Lana hated when she became overly sad in her writing. "Saúde" a voice behind her said. She turned around to see the bartender now sitting behind her a few tables back where he was eating his meal. He was holding his drink up to toast. She took her beer and raised it up. "Cheers".
